    About the Role


    As a Solution Architect, you will define and deliver end‑to‑end data platform and ingestion designs that support enterprise analytics, AI initiatives and strategic transformation. You will work closely with engineering, cloud, governance and business teams to create modern, reusable and secure patterns that scale across the organisation.

    What You’ll Do

  • Design end‑to‑end ingestion flows across source systems, ingestion tooling, staging, transformation and consumption layers, ensuring reliability, governance and operational excellence.

  • Architect resilient ingestion patterns including incremental loads, Change Data Capture (CDC), schema evolution handling, recovery workflows and monitoring.

  • Evaluate and recommend ingestion technologies such as Fivetran, AWS DMS and custom connector‑based pipelines, balancing cost, performance and security.

  • Embed policy‑as‑code, automated data quality checks, schema validation and lifecycle management into pipeline and platform design.

  • Define modern warehouse and lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift and Delta Lake technologies, including zoning, modelling, performance tuning and workload isolation.

  • Produce current, transition and target state solution architectures and reusable reference designs aligned to enterprise architecture principles.

  • Provide design leadership to delivery teams, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, implementable and meet business requirements.

  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, Architecture and product teams to ensure integrated and compliant data platform delivery.

    • What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with data ingestion platforms such as Fivetran, AWS DMS or similar tools, including connector configuration, scheduling and secure data movement.

  • Ability to design complete ingestion architectures incorporating data flows, lineage, auditability, monitoring and consumption patterns.

  • Strong capability in resilient ingestion design, including CDC, schema evolution, retries and recovery methods.

  • Deep understanding of data governance, including metadata management, lineage tracking, cataloguing and stewardship using tools such as Collibra, Purview or Alation.

  • Experience architecting warehouse and lakehouse solutions using Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Redshift or equivalent technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly AWS, including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management and secure API or event‑based ingestion.

  • Practical experience with ELT/ETL and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, DBT or Step Functions.

  • Ability to simplify complexity, influence stakeholders and provide architectural leadership at a senior level.
