JOB TITLE: SOLUTION ENGINEER - CONNECTIVITY


LOCATION : BERLIN/KARLSRUHE

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy solution engineer to join our Fast Enabling Team with a focus on Machine Connectivity. This role is ideal for young professionals who are passionate about IoT, Cloud and Edge computing technologies, and eager to gain hands-on experience in an innovative industrial environment.

  • Assist in developing and implementing machine connectivity solutions and blueprints.

  • Support research and development activities within the CoE, focusing on the latest trends in IoT and edge computing.

  • Collaborate in the preparation and maintenance of documentation, including technical guides, project reports, and training materials.

  • Participate in the organization of workshops and exchange sessions, contributing to knowledge and best practice dissemination within the company.

  • Cooperate with peers across the entire organization on joint initiatives.

  • Engage with various team members for project planning and execution.

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the CoE team as needed.

    • What we are looking for:
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or equivalent relative experience.
    • A foundational understanding of IoT, cloud computing, and/or edge computing.
    • Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript or similar.
    • A readiness to quickly tackle the steep learning curve attached to our existing Edge and IoT technology stack.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • A customer-centric mindset focusing on user value.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.



    Nice to have:
    • Knowledge of Docker, containerized applications
    • Experience with Cloud Computing (Azure or similar)
    • Exposure to automation and Infrastructure as Code technologies like terraform or ansible
    • Understanding of Industrial protocols OPC-UA,eth/IP)
    • Knowledge in Computer Networks and protocols
    • Knowledge in Linux administration and maintenance
