About the opportunity

The Solutions Architect has a significant role in delivering the future vision of Healthdirect Australia’s online presence and helpline services, solving complex business challenges, and achieving ambitious goals with technical solutions that are implemented across the organisation.

In this role, you will translate product and service strategy into product line architectures that support the long-term delivery of value to users and customers of the services. This technical role provides expertise and direction around the architecture, design, and technical governance across multiple projects. You will be accountable for technology choices that meet defined business objectives while complying to governance around security, clinical and legal risk, information management, architecture, and platform.

This a 12 month fixed term role.

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of IT experience including experience with distributed computing, web technologies, content management, search systems.
• 3+ years’ experience in a technical leadership/solution architecture role.
• Experience of multi-channel services and an understanding of the impacts of channels on consumer experience
• Comprehensive understanding of modern public cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure
• Comprehensive experience designing application persistence layers and data management practices.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing API driven, service-oriented architectures including microservices.
• Expertise in securing code, application state and systems through both application and infrastructure practices and exposure to security compliance processes
