Job summary: This role plays a pivotal part in building and strengthening supplier relationships while serving as the key point of contact for both suppliers and customers. The position is actively involved from RFQ generation to the successful delivery of parts, ensuring customer requirements are met with high-quality products and on-time execution. It includes leading sample development and overseeing serial production, offering end-to-end project ownership. The cross-functional nature of the role presents significant opportunities for professional growth across existing and emerging business verticals. Key Responsibilities 1. Interpret customer RFQs and translate them into clear, actionable sourcing specifications for suppliers. 2. Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers across various Sheet metal processes, including Laser Cutting, Pressing, Drawing, Rolling, Fabrication etc. 3. Develop and institutionalize an effective sourcing and procurement process for BOM (Bill of Materials) kitting, ensuring a robust and reliable supply base. 4. Strategically map suppliers to each RFQ and implement a customized sourcing approach for higher success rates. 5. Lead the complete RFQ lifecycle: quotation requests, technical/commercial clarifications, negotiation, feedback management, and final award recommendations. 6. Manage project timelines for sample development, qualification, customer inspections, and serial production orders. 7. Establish, monitor, and manage supplier contracts to sustain performance and build long-term relationships. 8. Ensure 100% on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining first-time-right quality standards. 9. Conduct win/loss analysis to identify opportunities to improve bid success rates and reduce procurement cycle times. 10. Maintain supplier performance records and scorecards; develop strategic vendors and eliminate underperformers. 11. Scale operations by building and leading a team to manage multiple sourcing categories. 12. Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally for supplier development and customer interface. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience or sourcing/estimation in Sheet metal and Fabrication industries. Proficiency in MS Office, quality assurance applications, and procurement databases. Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and customer interaction. Preferred Certifications: i.
