Accenture is seeking a Manager who will lead a sourcing team of Logistics professionals and support business development. The candidate should have the capability to execute complex sourcing events where many stakeholders, business units, regions, divisions, and existing suppliers have a significant strategic impact on the client. Activities will focus on guiding the client on the right sourcing strategy based on experience and knowledge of the category.

You will work with global clients to support each company's business goals while achieving optimal commercial structure, quality, and service levels. In this capacity, you will have substantial involvement in supporting sales and solution design for prospective new client accounts and in helping procurement organizations expand their involvement and control of non-traditional spend areas.

Role: Sourcing & Procurement - Logistics

Location: Mumbai

Career Level: 7 (Manager - AVP)

Key Responsibilities would include:

• Partner with clients/suppliers to identify and drive cost/ improvement opportunities through sourcing initiatives
• Lead and execute sourcing projects including strategy development, RFQ/RFP execution, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
• Detailed knowledge of complex data management and analysis
• Guide team members on distilling relevant insights from large volumes of complex data
• Apply market knowledge to provide clients with relevant insights
• Lead a delivery Team
• Coaching Team members on best practices of sourcing execution
• Maintain overall team service delivery
• Manage Knowledge Transfer from Internal / External teams on new processes
• Setup SOP for new processes and meet SLA targets for existing ones
• Ensure project staffing meets both skill and cost requirements
• Ensure team members receive necessary training to remain relevant to clients
• Provide mentorship to team member SAS they deliver on client work
• Manage client expectations & escalations
• Ensure seamless day-to-day delivery
• Manage fortnightly / monthly review meetings with Client stakeholders
• Support end to end Sourcing projects in collaboration with Client team
• Demonstrates the ability to make decisions, some of which may be complex in nature, that affect actions and outcomes within area of responsibility
• Identifies, assesses and resolves complex issues/problems within own area of responsibility
• Looks for and suggests continuous improvement measures on a day-to-day basis within area of responsibility
• Supports and in some cases leads overall project delivery activities with the rest of the project team
• Supports Business development

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

• Knowledge of multiple sub-categories within Sourcing in Logistics categories like, Freight - Air, Ocean & Overland, Small Parcels & warehousing
• Experience in Leading High complexity global sourcing projects preferably for European or North American regions
• Experience in Managing projects& negotiations for at least one of the Modes -Air, Ocean or Road
• Should have managed Teams in prior roles
• Experience in creating presentations for Higher management Business Reviews
• The resource should also be able to work with the legal and technical teams to facilitate the negotiations of the legal and technical terms in a contract.
• At least70% of experience should be in managing global client stakeholders and global suppliers (for India).
• Awareness of generative AI tools (e.g., Chat GPT, Microsoft Copilot) and their responsible use in sourcing and procurement activities
• Ability to leverage generative AI to improve efficiency in tasks such as RFP drafting, spend classification, data summarization, and contract review
• Foundational understanding of how generative AI works and its evolving role in procurement technology
• Demonstrated openness to adopting emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in sourcing practices

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (business/finance/economics/engineering/ mathematics) or equivalent or bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or Finance preferred
• Minimum 14+ years of sourcing experience generated through work delivering Global Strategic-sourcing services for Logistics categories like, Freight - Air, Ocean & Overland, Small Parcels & warehousing
