Role Description
We are seeking a Sourcing Specialists responsible for identifying, developing, and managing sources of e-waste, specifically consumer durable electronics such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, laptops, and other household electronic equipment. The role involves vendor development, price negotiation, quantity assurance, and coordination with logistics for smooth collection and movement of material.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-waste Sourcing & Vendor Development
- Identify and onboard suppliers of e-waste such as scrap dealers, bulk consumers, corporates, service centers, retailers, and institutions.
- Develop long-term sourcing channels for consumer durable electronics (ACs, refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, etc.).
Market Intelligence & Pricing
- Track market rates for different categories of electronic scrap and components.
- Evaluate product condition, metal content, and recoverable value before finalizing purchase price.
- Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring margin and compliance.
Product Knowledge (Consumer Durables)
- Assess condition and residual value of used or discarded electronics.
- Classify products based on working/non-working, reusable/refurbishable, or recyclable categories.
- Ensure steady monthly inflow of e-waste as per company targets.
- Maintain sourcing pipeline and forecast material
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of consumer durable electronics such as: Air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines
