Overview

Brighton Metro Hotel is a busy, community-focused venue in Adelaide's south, home to Charlie's Diner - a high-volume, much-loved bistro known for quality pub classics and consistent trade. We're looking for a strong Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help lead the kitchen through busy services. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a Sous who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in well-executed pub food.

The Role

  • Lead the kitchen during service and step up in the Head Chef's absence
  • Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation across all services
  • Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and food cost management
  • Train, mentor and develop junior chefs and apprentices
  • Uphold food safety, compliance and kitchen organisation standards
