Browns Plains Hotel is a busy, well‑loved local offering classic pub favourites in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. With a strong kitchen team in place and consistent trade, we’re looking for a motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help drive standards across service.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives on the pass, enjoys leading from the front, and is ready to take the next step in their career.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Lead services and step up in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and speed during high-volume trade
  • Train, mentor, and support junior chefs
  • Assist with ordering, stock control, and food cost management
  • Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards
