Position Summary

The Sous Chef, employed by 50 Eggs Hospitality Group, is a
key kitchen leader responsible for supporting daily culinary operations in a
high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role requires a disciplined leader
who can execute consistently, follow standardized recipes, manage teams during
service, and uphold company standards for food quality, safety, and efficiency.



Primary Responsibilities | Food Quality & Execution

  • Ensure consistent execution of menu items in accordance
    with standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Monitor food quality, portioning, temperature, and timing
    during service
  • Lead by example on the line during high-volume periods
  • Enforce adherence to recipes and procedures without
    deviation








Kitchen Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise line cooks and prep staff during assigned shifts
  • Train team members on recipes, procedures, and execution
    standards
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and corrective
    direction
  • Maintain accountability, professionalism, and morale








Operational Readiness & Efficiency

  • Ensure mise en place and stations are fully prepared for
    service
  • Support inventory control, storage, labeling, and rotation
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and waste reduction
  • Maintain smooth service flow and ticket-time discipline








Sanitation, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and
    company policies
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe kitchen environments






Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Line Cook in a
    high-volume environment
  • Proven ability to follow and enforce standardized recipes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Food Safety / Manager Certification required
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and
    holidays
