Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection inspired by the informal yet sophisticated Izakaya dining style. Based in Mykonos, this role is part of our first lifestyle concept — a vibrant seasonal destination that blends Zuma’s signature dining experience with the island’s effortless sophistication and energy.

Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:

Manage all sections and ensure every section is fully prepared, maintaining Zuma’s signature standards

Monitor the quality of dishes during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate

Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring proper food storage, handling, and cleanliness across the kitchen

Oversee food ordering, receiving, and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and manage costs

Train, mentor, and motivate junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and productivity, while working closely with Front of House to ensure seamless service

What We Look For
Our ideal candidate embodies our values and brings: 

Proven experience as a sous chef in a luxury high-volume restaurant

A strong leader who thrives in supporting and mentoring kitchen teams to achieve excellence

Well organised, customer-oriented and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences

Previous experience in Japanese cuisine desired but not essential
