This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year at a middle school serving an all-girls charter school in the Denver, CO area. The position focuses on providing specialized education services to approximately 30 students aged in middle school with mild to moderate disabilities. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have a middle school caseload, supporting students through co-teaching English classes in collaboration with general education teachers. The role offers a unique chance to contribute to an inclusive learning environment while working closely with students at one site. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of about 30 middle school students with mild to moderate special education needs Collaborate with general education teachers to co-teach English, adapting curriculum to meet diverse learner needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals and abilities Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates and reports Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment fostering student growth and engagement Attend relevant meetings, trainings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with middle school students within mild to moderate disability range Strong collaboration skills and experience co-teaching in inclusive classrooms Ability to manage a moderate caseload effectively while maintaining individualized attention Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance standards Excellent communication and organization skills Location: Denver, CO (all-girls charter school site) Duration: Full-time contract for the 2026-2027 school year (40 hours per week) This position offers a meaningful opportunity to impact the academic success and personal growth of young learners in a supportive educational setting.
