An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in mild to moderate needs for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract position involves supporting approximately 30 middle school students within a co-teaching environment focused on English instruction. Location: Longmont, CO (with duties at a single charter school site in Denver, CO) Responsibilities: Manage a middle school caseload of about 30 students with mild to moderate special education needs Collaborate in a co-teaching model within English classes to support diverse learners Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for students on assigned caseload Participate in team meetings and coordinate with general education staff to enhance student learning Provide targeted support and accommodations to students to foster academic growth and engagement Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with a focus on Special Education Experience managing a middle school caseload, preferably mild to moderate disabilities Proficiency in collaborative teaching methods and co-teaching models Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive education practices Benefits: Full-time position with 40 hours per week commitment during the school year Opportunity to work in a focused middle school setting with a manageable caseload Engagement in a supportive educational environment emphasizing collaboration This role offers a rewarding chance to impact the academic success of middle school students with special education needs through collaborative teaching.
