Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in an early childhood school setting located in Woonsocket, RI. This contract position will support K-3 students in a self-contained classroom, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within a supportive learning environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals to students in grades K-3
- Implement effective classroom management strategies in a self-contained special education setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and general education staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that meets diverse learning needs
