Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. An immediate opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher in a K-12 setting, with the position starting as soon as possible through March 2, 2026, with the possibility of extension. This leave contract role is based in Arvada, CO, with the specific school location to be determined. Qualifications: Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License with Generalist Endorsement (grades 5-21) Professional Teacher License with endorsement in Special Education Generalist (5-21) as required; temporary or substitute licenses will not be considered unless the correct endorsement application with proof is submitted Extensive experience and knowledge in special education instructional practices and strategies Strong familiarity with specially designed instruction and support for students on alternative standards Comprehensive understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary IEP teams Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities, maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations, participating actively in IEP development and implementation, and coordinating with other educators and professionals to support student success. This position requires a committed professional prepared to discuss their teaching methods, instructional strategies, and knowledge of special education during the interview process.
