Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Opportunity for Special Education Teachers to serve K-12 students in Denver, CO, supporting diverse learning needs across multiple schools within a public school district. This contract position will begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. Assignments include: Affective Needs Teacher at an elementary school, beginning January 5, 2026, through the end of the school year Learning Specialist roles at two middle and P-8 schools, starting ASAP; one assignment is for at least 3 months with potential extension Significant Support Needs (SSN) teacher for students with cognitive disabilities at a middle school, ASAP through the end of school year Candidates must hold an active Colorado Department of Education certification in Special Education. Experience working with students who have affective, learning, or significant support needs is highly desirable. This role demands flexibility and dedication to meet the educational goals of students with disabilities in a full-time capacity (35 hours per week). Key qualifications and experience: Active CO DOE Special Education certification Experience in elementary and/or secondary special education environments Comfortable supporting various caseloads including affective needs, learning specialist, and significant cognitive support Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Availability for on-site work in the Denver area This contract provides an excellent chance to gain varied experience within a dynamic school district committed to inclusive education.
