Special Education Teacher - Golden, CO

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to work within a K-12 school setting, serving students in an Elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Center. The role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs to promote their academic and social development. The position requires a dedicated professional who holds current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education generalist licensure.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instructional support in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet students unique learning requirements and facilitate progress.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado Department of Education Special Education Generalist licensure.
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly within an ASD-focused educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to implement evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
