A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support K-12 students for a leave contract ending March 2, 2026, with a potential extension pending decision in late February. The role requires a dedicated professional to implement specialized instructional strategies and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Location: Littleton, CO (Exact site TBD) Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week Start Date: ASAP End Date: March 2, 2026 (possibility of extension) Contract Type: Leave, Full-Time Qualifications: Possession of a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Professional Teacher License with endorsement in Special Education Generalist (5-21) Applicants with temporary or substitute licenses are not eligible unless permanent SPED licensure has been applied for with supporting documentation Demonstrated expertise in Specially Designed Instruction and teaching students on alternative standards In-depth understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and ability to work collaboratively with education professionals Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs across the K-12 spectrum Collaborate with IEP teams to develop, implement, and monitor educational strategies and accommodations Maintain accurate records related to student progress and adherence to state guidelines Utilize evidence-based instructional practices to support student development and academic success This role is not open for virtual or hybrid formats. Candidates should be prepared in interviews to discuss their teaching experience, instructional strategies, knowledge of special education laws, and collaborative skills.
