A full-time Adaptive Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2023-2024 school year within a K-12 educational setting in Monroe, NC. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The role supports a structured, inclusive environment that promotes student growth and safety. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs Manage classroom behavior effectively and assess student progress regularly Communicate openly with students, families, and school staff to support student success Uphold district policies ensuring a safe, compliant learning environment Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional periods Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration Qualifications and Desired Experience: Professional Educators License through NCDPI, valid and active in North Carolina (submission of certification screenshot required) Demonstrated experience in special education, preferably within adaptive or K-12 settings Strong classroom management and instructional differentiation skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities with families and educational teams Reliable transportation and availability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) as assigned by the school Location: Monroe, NC (specifically within a K-12 school environment) Benefits: Contract position for the current school year Opportunity to work in a supportive, student-focused educational community Professional growth through targeted development and collaboration Qualified candidates interested in applying should prepare a detailed presentation including relevant experience highlights, teaching certifications, current employment status, teaching license details, and availability.
