Job Description
An exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic setting of a Special Needs unit with amixed age range of children that have Learning Difficulties in a Hornchurch School.
An awareness of communication support such as non-verbal communication ie PECS / Makaton / Flash Cards and Attention Autism would be an advantage.
Monday to Friday,8.30am - 3.30pm (Term time only)
Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:
* To check and prepare your duties and resources for the day before the students arrive.
* Attend staff de-briefing meetings as necessary
* To be aware of routines and safeguarding guidance
* To support the students learning and daily routines
* To collaborate with staff for group activities
* To keep work areas well organised both during and at the end of the day
* To assist with the student’s personal care as and if needed
