Job Description

Role Purpose

As a Specialist Engineer in the Global Service Center (GSC) HSBC, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using Python along with BigQuery and related GCP services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ETL processes using Python and BigQuery.
  • Manage GCP resources, including buckets and data storage.
  • Document technical solutions and best practices.
  • Draw diagrams of technical solutions, data flows, and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory guidelines, and cloud best practices.

Technical Requirements

  • Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and shell scripting.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and BigQuery.

Experience With

  • SAFe Framework.
  • DevOps Frameworks (GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus).

Desired

  • Experience with Control‑M, Visual Studio Code, and Copilot.

Language Level

  • English – Advanced proficiency (C1).
