Job Description

  • Supervise, Develop, review, and approve lifting plans and procedures for critical and non-critical lifts
  • Ensure lifting drawings and calculations are accurate and meet project specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for lifting operations.
  • Oversee complex lifting operations, including heavy lifts, tandem lifts, and specialized lifting techniques (e.g., strand jacking, gantry cranes, SPMT haulage).
  • Must have knowledge of Heavy Lift tools and tackles
  • Coordinate with appointed persons, rigging supervisors, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient lifting activities.
  • Provide technical guidance on crane selection, rigging configurations, and lifting accessories.
  • Maintain adherence to international standards (BS 7121, LOLER) and company HSE policies.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of lifting equipment and operations.
  • Troubleshoot lifting-related issues and propose solutions.
  • Act as the focal point for lifting-related queries from clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to integrate lifting plans into overall construction schedules.
  • Coach and mentor site teams on lifting best practices (riggers, crane operators)
