Accounting Specialist — Reporting to: Director, Finance. AXXEL HR is recruiting an Accounting Specialist for a growing organization in the manufacturing and distribution sector. This key role supports daily accounting operations and the month-end close within a dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable: invoice entry, matching, preparation and posting of payments
  • Perform bank and payment platform reconciliations
  • Record routine journal entries (GL, payroll, loans, goods in transit)
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and the month-end close process
  • Maintain accurate accounting documentation and suggest process improvements

Profile Sought

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting (AP, reconciliations, bookkeeping)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
