Position Summary Specialty Pharmacy Liaison 📍 Orlando Health | Ocoee, FL 📌 Location: 1111 Blackwood Ave, Ocoee, FL 34761 🕘 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM 🚫 No weekends | Closed on six major holidays 🏢 Onsite role with minimal local travel to assigned clinics Position Overview Orlando Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to serve as a key connector between patients, providers, clinic staff, and the specialty pharmacy team. This role plays a vital part in growing specialty pharmacy service lines by building strong provider relationships, supporting patient enrollment, and ensuring seamless coordination across care settings. The ideal candidate is a pharmacy professional with strong communication skills, a service‑oriented mindset, and experience supporting specialty or retail pharmacy workflows in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Patient, Provider & Clinic Engagement Serve as an advocate for Orlando Health Specialty Pharmacy services. Build and maintain strong relationships with Orlando Health providers, clinics, and community partners. Generate and support specialty pharmacy referrals to expand patient enrollment. Provide high‑quality customer service to patients and providers regarding: Specialty pharmacy enrollment Prescription processing and status updates Benefits investigations and prior authorizations Financial assistance options Engage directly with clinics to ensure patient outreach aligns with preferences and care needs. Workflow & Program Support Assess existing clinic and pharmacy workflows and collaborate with subject matter experts to recommend and implement process improvements. Support ongoing adoption of new workflows, including competency assessment of impacted team members. Participate in strategic initiatives, business development efforts, and provider engagement events. Maintain supportive, professional relationships with internal and external customers. Professional Practice & Compliance Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies, departmental procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations. Adhere to pharmacy practice standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain punctual and reliable attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies (ADA, FMLA, etc.). Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and process improvement initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Licensure & Certification Active Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy (required). Experience Minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy experience in specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy required. Experience supporting provider‑facing pharmacy services, patient engagement, or referral coordination preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and relationship‑building abilities. Knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy terminology. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel locally to assigned clinics using personal transportation. Why Join Orlando Health?
