Job Summary
The Specimen Technician (SPT I) provides essential support within the Specimen Processing Department, performing high-volume laboratory support functions that are critical to quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in a production-based, biohazard laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities Perform specimen processing support functions including A-station, presort, pickup and delivery, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting. Ensure all work is completed with confidence, accuracy, and timeliness. Enter data at a rate of , alphanumeric keystrokes per hour. Learn and apply knowledge of specimen types related to client-ordered tests. Maintain compliance with test-ordering regulations, which may change daily. Work in a production environment
