Job Description:
  • The Specimen Technician I (SPT I) is responsible for general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department.
  • This role requires a strong data entry background and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • The position supports critical laboratory operations and plays a key role in maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
  • The majority of work is performed on the night shift, with flexibility required based on staffing needs.
    • Responsibilities:
  • Perform general specimen processing support functions, including A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with confidence, accuracy, and within established turnaround times.
