Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Fairport, NY. This contract position for the current school year offers the chance to work with pediatric and school-aged populations, delivering impactful speech and language services in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
  • Provide targeted therapy sessions focused on speech and language improvement goals
  • Monitor and document student progress with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support
  • Engage families by educating and involving them in the therapy process to enhance outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations strongly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

This role requires active licensure approved by the state board and the completion or pursuit of a Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology. Comprehensive support, including access to an experienced local SLP advisory team, will be provided to aid your professional development.
