About This Position


Scoot Education partners with speech-language pathologists at different stages of their careers, including experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows, who want meaningful school-based work without unnecessary rigidity.


This is an in-person, school-based role aligned to the academic calendar. Assignments are typically long-term, full school-year placements and are designed to support both strong student outcomes and clinician sustainability.


We are currently seeking SLPs for the current school year, as well as clinicians interested in exploring opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year.


Perks & Compensation:


  • Earn $65 - $75+ per hour - Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by location/state, role, certification, school, and assignment.
  • W-2 employment - we handle tax withholdings

  • Dedicated Scoot Consultant - for placement matching and ongoing support

What you’ll do:


Responsibilities may vary by school placement and student population, but may include:


  • Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and therapy services for qualifying students
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on goal development, service delivery, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers across general and special education settings
  • Where applicable, provide supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and/or Clinical Fellows (CFs) in accordance with state guidelines
  • Build rapport and trust with students to support engagement and communication growth
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

What you will need:


  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) placement
  • Ability to work onsite in a school-based setting
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
