Speech & Language Teaching Assistant

Start date: ASAP
Contract: For the remainder of the academic year (with potential to extend)

Our client, a Thurrock-based primary school is seeking a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant to play a key role in supporting pupils whose communication needs impact their learning and wellbeing. The position is available immediately and will run for the remainder of the school year as a minimum.

The school is looking for someone who values progress over pace and wants to be part of a team that puts communication at the centre of inclusion.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Providing targeted speech and language support on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Delivering speech and language programmes under the guidance of the SENCo
