Overview
The Speech Therapist is responsible for the assessment and management of patients referred to speech therapy.  Under supervision, s/he will assist in areas such as clinical supervision, research, professional education and induction.
Primary Responsibility

Assess and manage patients referred  to speech therapy independently  and implement appropriate treatment plans.

Report to referring doctor and other members of the medical team.

Document patient speech therapy records accurately.

Charge patients accurately.

Update individual performance statistical records regularly.

Comply with clinical and service standards.

Supervise TA in the workgroup.

Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor / other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
