Job Description

Responsible for utilizing GRP / GRE components for fabricating spools as per the shop floor and isometric drawings, in accordance to the design and Quality Control specifications laid down and as per the schedule and duration set by the scheduling department / foreman to minimize waste and material rejection

• Utilize fittings, pipes and components to fabricate spools in accordance to the
drawings, specifications and quality standards
• Inform the assistant foreman of the daily output status to ensure schedules are met
• Inform the assistant foreman of any accidents, problems, mistakes or non-conformities
faced during production
• Self QC the product and coordinate with the QC department for inspection and
release

• Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and
instructions
• Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks
• Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents • Maintain assigned tools, equipment and machinery in good working order
• Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations.

Skills

▪ Knowledge of the different pipe types and components
▪ Knowledge of raw Material and associated hazards, material safety data, resin mixing / dosage.
▪ Knowledge of product specifications, shop and isometric drawings
▪ Knowledge of using tools such as cutter, grinder and generating the spooling templates
▪ Knowledge and skills in using measuring instruments such as measuring tapes, Pi tapes, Sprit level, centre register, bevel
protector, wrapping around tape, etc.
▪ Knowledge of required quality standards, visual defects
