Position Summary

The general role for the CNC spring machine Operator is to load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position and to verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces and to adhere that quality assurance procedures and processes are in accordance with the international standards. It shall be noted that LIN SCAN has Subsidiaries around the world and although the CNC Spring machine Operator reports to the Machine shop supervisor, the responsibility of the CNC spring machine Operator is to ensure that all tasks related to his scope of work are executed according to the HSE standards as well as to the plan, corporate standards and policy approved by the Corporate Office.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare CNC machines for spring production, including loading raw materials, inputting program codes, and configuring machine settings.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce precision springs based on provided specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
  • Monitor machine operation, making necessary adjustments and performing periodic quality checks to ensure consistent production output.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any machine malfunctions or issues that may arise during production, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule work orders, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, quality inspection reports, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Works cooperatively with QC Technicians during part production to ensure product meets customer specifications. Adjusts as required to meet define quality expectations
  • Performs daily machine maintenance and reports any machine issues encountered during maintenance or production to the department supervisor and Maintenance department.
  • Be quality conscious (dynamic approach towards quality improvement and aim at getting things right first time)
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity and safeguard LIN SCAN trade secrets.
  • Respond to changes positively (technical advancements as well as organizational adaptations)
  • Be results-oriented; alert others timely when a task may not produce the required result for LIN SCAN’s final product
  • Follow LIN SCAN’s Process Flow Charts and interact with other departments when required
  • Assure timely and accurate reporting to LIN SCAN IT Department

    Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
