About Our Group
The Sputter Equipment Development Engineering (SpEDE) team at Seagate designs and develops advanced sputter process equipment used in HDD media manufacturing. Our engineers work across mechanical design, vacuum systems, thermal engineering, automation, and process integration, taking ideas from concept through simulation, prototyping, testing, and deployment into production.
As an intern, you'll join a collaborative engineering team that values strong fundamentals, curiosity, and learning by doing. You'll gain first-hand exposure to how real engineering problems are solved and how theory turns into working equipment.
