Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support production MS SQL Server environments (2016–2019–2022).
• Perform performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning for SQL Server instances.
• Administer High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Execute and validate backup and recovery operations.
• Automate operational and maintenance tasks using T‑SQL and PowerShell.
• Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues.
• Ensure security, compliance, and patching best practices.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Participate in on‑call and off‑hours support as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–12 years of hands‑on experience as an MS SQL Server Administrator.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server engine architecture and internals.
• Experience with performance tuning using DMVs, Query Store, wait statistics, and execution plans.
• Hands‑on experience with HA/DR such as:
• Always On Availability Groups
• Failover Cluster Instances
• Log Shipping / Replication
• Strong knowledge of backup & restore strategies (full, diff, log, PITR).
• Experience with SQL Server security (logins, roles, encryption, auditing).
• Working experience with automation using T‑SQL and PowerShell.
• Exposure to Windows OS, storage concepts, and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.
