SQL Database Developer

The SQL Database Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing robust database solutions to support business processes and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in SQL, database architecture, performance tuning, and ETL processes.

This role also emphasizes collaboration, analytical thinking, and the implementation of modern data tools and technologies to improve data accessibility and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and structure effective database schemas to support various applications and business needs.
2. Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, insertion, updates, and deletions.
3. Execute and manage ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
4. Analyze data sets to uncover actionable insights and improve decision-making capabilities.
5. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through monitoring and tuning.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data requirements and architecture.
7. Utilize tools like Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks for database management and processing.
8. Implement automation solutions using Power Automate and other relevant technologies.

Required Qualifications

1. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database design and performance tuning.
2. Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
3. Experience with Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of Python and Streamsets.
2. Strong organizational and project management skills.
