SQL DBA L2

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Server & Azure Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and support our on-premises and cloud-based database environments. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL services.

Budgets: For Anik's replacement is 21lpa; For Ganapathi's replacement it is 25lpa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases (2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2019/2022) and Azure SQL environments
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, backups, restores, and patching
• Monitor performance and implement tuning strategies for high availability and scalability
• Design and implement disaster recovery solutions using Always On, Log Shipping, SQL Replication and Geo-Replication
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, and Azure automation tools
• Collaborate with development teams to support SSIS, SSRS, and SQL-based applications
• Ensure database security, compliance, and access control across environments
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to connectivity, performance, and data integrity
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure reviews
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices
• Experience with Azure services: Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure PAAS DBs
• Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies
• Hands-on experience with backup/restore strategies and disaster recovery planning
• Familiarity with cloud migration tools and hybrid environments
• Scripting skills in PowerShell and T-SQL
• Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks
