Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer responsible for both application support and database development . The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions while providing production support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity and performance across systems.

Key Responsibilities Development Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
  • Participate in database design and data modeling to support application requirements
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance for large datasets
  • Support application development teams with database-related enhancements and integrations
  • Implement ETL processes and data transformations where required
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and version control
Support Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for database-related issues
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues, and job failures
  • Monitor database health, performance, and capacity
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
  • Support deployments, releases, and database migrations
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams during incidents

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and database objects
  • Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plans
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data validation, and data reconciliation
  • Experience working in production support environments
  • Knowledge of source control and deployment processes
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Nice to Have
  • Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, or data warehousing concepts
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
