Job Overview
Role: Raw Material Forecast Planner
Function Overview
This is a newly created role within the Raw Material Forecasting space. The Raw Material Forecast Planner is accountable for developing and maintaining accurate raw material forecasts to support production requirements while optimizing inventory levels and costs. The role requires strong analytical capability, statistical forecasting expertise, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to minimize supply disruptions and ensure timely material availability.
Purpose of the Role
Support the Supply Planning function by driving innovative, standardized forecasting solutions that improve forecast accuracy. The role also supports demand planning through the development and execution of industry-standard forecasting and analytical approaches.
Key Accountabilities
Raw Material Forecast Planning (70%)
Own and manage the raw material forecast for the assigned business unit.
Analyze forecast accuracy, validity, volatility, and bias; identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.
Partner with regional planning teams to provide statistical forecasting and demand analytics expertise.
Monitor and report KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supply chain performance; recommend mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with planning teams to ensure sufficient on-hand inventory while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis on historical demand and shipment data to identify trends and patterns.
Apply and evaluate multiple forecasting models; analyze outputs and prepare insights for Raw Material Planning Leads to support decision-making.
Engage stakeholders regularly to align on forecast assumptions and numbers.
Coordinate with technical and data science teams to identify process improvements, validate outputs, and propose enhancements.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of statistical forecasting and raw material planning concepts.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Planning.
5+ years of relevant supply chain experience in planning, forecasting, inventory management, operations, and statistical analysis.
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes.
Ability to understand, articulate, and translate business and supply chain needs into outcomes.
