Team Overview
Target Creative’s Stores team aids in bringing to life the stores experience inside and outside. As the team that owns marketing communication for all new and remodeled Target store openings, our mission is to deliver effective and delightful communication to our guests/consumers. The goal is to bring joy and invite consumers to visit our stores where we provide them with a warm and enriching experience of shopping for their everyday needs.
About this Opportunity
As a Senior Art Director, you will lead the conceptualization and design of omni-channel marketing campaigns supporting new and remodeled Target store openings. You will partner closely with peers, cross-functional teams, and leadership to deliver best-in-class creative that is on brand, on strategy, and on time.
This role requires a strategic, systems-minded creative thinker who can provide clear direction, elevate design quality, and guide work from concept through final execution. You will demonstrate exceptional graphic design craft, campaign-level conceptual thinking, and advanced proficiency across industry-standard design tools. You will oversee and execute creatives across a variety of channels, including print and digital, requiring a strong understanding of platform requirements, production specifications, and channel best practices. You will also review print production details to ensure accuracy, quality, and readiness for launch.
You will be accountable for prioritizing work, making timely decisions, and ensuring deadlines are met. You will develop presentations and confidently communicate creative recommendations to Marketing partners and senior leadership.
Success in this role also requires staying current on design, style, industry, and technology trends and applying those insights to elevate the work. You will create thoughtful, consumer-centric creatives that strengthen meaningful connections with our guests and reflect Target’s voice, culture, and brand standards. You bring a multicultural lens to your approach, understand cultural trends, and think strategically about how Target shows up for diverse audiences.
