Overview

The Legal Counsel provides legal advice and guidance to the company on corporate governance, legal developments, and compliance requirements. The role ensures that business units are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, assists in implementing best corporate governance practices, and provides corporate secretarial assistance for meetings and filings. The role also acts as a subject matter expert in legal due diligence for acquisitions and oversees compliance requirements for post-acquisition activities. The Legal Counsel keeps the Group informed of relevant updates in laws and regulations and engages with regulators and stakeholders on corporate governance matters, coordinating with various parties for transactions and ensuring timely preparation of necessary documents.
