- The Senior Buyer is responsible for procurement functions directly associated with Hillrom needs for select production materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery competitive levels consistent with company policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt, and inventory control of the products and services as assigned. This individual will play a key role within the supply chain to use their knowledge of planning and inventory management, lean manufacturing concepts and techniques (e.g. Kanban), and ERP software to ensure Hillrom customer orders are delivered accurately and according to schedule. The Senior Buyer utilizes their experience, knowledge, skills to work with greater initiative and with more complex challenges.
