Purpose of the Role
The Should Cost Modeling (SCM) COE was established to leverage data and insights to deliver best-in-class cost management, generating over $150MM in Total Value through spend reduction and inflation mitigation. As the team evolves from a project-based model to an integrated sourcing capability, we are seeking a Cost Model Lead to drive this transformation.
This role sits at the intersection of procurement, finance, engineering, manufacturing, and ITQ, offering strong professional growth opportunities. The Cost Model Lead will develop and deploy should-cost models across Direct, Indirect, Pet, and ESC categories, enabling sourcing teams with data-driven insights to improve negotiations and sourcing outcomes. Success requires strong analytical capability, curiosity, digital fluency, proactive ownership, and effective communication.
Key Accountabilities
Cost Model Development & Deployment
Develop should-cost models across multiple spend categories, including process research, model structuring, assumption validation, and logic testing.
Analyze and communicate model outputs, insights, and implications to sourcing and business stakeholders.
Support negotiations and sourcing events to ensure effective use of cost models.
Leverage advanced digital tools (e.g., Palantir, McKinsey Cleansheet) to build and maintain models.
Ensure consistent application of modeling methodologies across categories.
COE Governance & Capability Building
Develop and manage COE KPIs, capacity models, operational metrics, and enterprise reporting.
Maintain a centralized, up-to-date library of cost models for procurement and GIC teams.
Use benchmarking and stakeholder feedback to continuously enhance COE capabilities.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in should-cost modeling and actively train and mentor COE team members.
Support onboarding, stakeholder engagement, and team culture development.
Build external connections to bring new insights and best practices into the sourcing organization.
Drive continuous improvement to mature and scale the COE.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Communication & Experience
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business.
Fluency in English with the ability to work in a multi-lingual environment.
7+ years of experience across Supply Chain, Engineering, ITQ, Sourcing, Finance, and/or Project Management (5+ years preferred).
Analytical Expertise
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions independently.
Experience in research, modeling techniques, and basic finance/accounting principles.
Advanced Excel or equivalent mathematical software skills; comfort working with large datasets and databases.
Expertise in process design, third-party collaboration, and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
APICS, CPM, or equivalent procurement certification.
Experience leading results through others in a dynamic, global organization.
Strong strategic sourcing expertise, including negotiations, stakeholder collaboration, and project management.
Proven success working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams, particularly with U.S.-based stakeholders.
Experience in food or CPG industry; understanding of global sourcing, regulatory compliance, and sustainability practices.
Demonstrated ability to operate in a global matrix organization supporting U.S. time zones.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior stakeholder influence.
