The Role

We are seeking a Sr. Consultant Engineer within our Global Professional Services organization. This role will be based in Pune, India and focus in providing consulting services to customers as part of our petroleum supply chain team.

Your Impact

  • Execute project from start to finish, ensuring excellence in project implementation
  • Understand customer requirements and support them in translating those into high-level solution designs for Aspen Petroleum supply chain suite of products
  • Lead and drive the project through completion while working in collaboration with Project Manager and second engineer as well as the customer team members
  • Demonstrate strong technical and business knowledge when customer facing to promote our Professional Services capabilities and our best practice methodologies that deliver value
  • Prepare technical documents such as Functional Specifications, Detailed Design Documents, as well as Site Acceptance Test Documents
  • Defining and developing Services solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Working with clients to implement the solution (from building models to adding enhancements)
  • Commissioning the completed models which require on site monitoring and analysis, and user hand-holding.
  • Participation in testing of software new releases, and delivery of training to customers

    • What You'll Need

  • 4 - 7 years of experience implementing supply chain systems in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Experience with implementation of planning and scheduling models for Petroleum/Petrochemical plants using AspenTech scheduling suit or other equivalent solutions
  • Process and economic understanding and experience in the Petroleum/Petrochemical business
  • Good technical programming VB+, JavaScript background is a plus
  • Experience working with MS SQL Server or other databases is useful
  • Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Must be a team player, collaboration is key
  • Experience with Aspen Technology Petroleum Supply Chain software is perfect
  • Have demonstrated leadership capabilities in previous endeavors
  • Chemical Engineering Degree is highly preferred
