Job Description

Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in Richland, WA. They specialize in industrial, manufacturing, and food processing applications. They are seeking a Senior Control System Engineer for a full-time position working remotely near Boise ID.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA, and CE standards to control system panel designs.
  • Write operating descriptions and related documentation for the controls and automation portion of systems.
  • Write PLC and HMI programs utilizing Rockwell / Allen-Bradley and Siemens products.
  • Configure automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and configuration of control and automation systems.
  • Field site acceptance testing, may travel to job sites for system integration.
  • Troubleshoot equipment operation issues that may be related to electrical design or programming.
  • Travel is less than 10%.

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferred

Experience: 4 years minimum

  • RSLogix 5000 programming: 2 years (Required)
  • FactoryTalk HMI development: 2 years (Required)
  • Controls Design: 4 years (Required)
  • PLC Programming: 4 years (Required)
  • Experience in panel design and control system engineering is strongly preferred, as well as experience in the water or food industry
  • Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is a plus
