Job Purpose:
Responsible for cost estimating, budgeting, cost control, and forecasting for drilling and well programs. The role ensures strong cost governance, accurate financial visibility, and timely insights to support efficient and controlled execution of drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain detailed well cost estimates and budgets, including a clear basis of estimate, cost breakdown structures, and appropriate contingencies aligned with the level of engineering maturity.
• Develop and manage expenditure approvals for drilling activities and track commitments to ensure spending remains within approved limits, including management of cost changes.
• Perform cost control and forecasting throughout the well lifecycle, providing regular cost outlooks and early identification of potential cost overruns or efficiency gaps.
