(Rotating) Job Description *Subject Matter Expert for Rotating Equipment Designs machinery and mechanical devices, pipe, rotary equipment and systems for oil, gas and chemical facilities, and marine construction equipment. •Prepares mechanical engineering cost estimates in specialty.
•Prepares specifications and material lists for mechanical engineering equipment and systems.
•Provides engineering technical direction to piping drafting.
•Coordinates mechanical engineering requirements with field, client and other departments.
•Initiates inquiries and requisitions for equipment, evaluates the quotation and prepares bid tabulations.
•Approves vendor's drawings for mechanical engineering equipment to be purchased and inspects equipment after purchase.
•Performs specialized mechanical engineering calculations.
