**Sr\. Engineer ENG CBU3**
**Description**
* Develop customer product from first system concept, through quote, prototyping, validation and towards a fully released product in mass production
* Ensure proactive requirements and risk management for all technical aspects
* Ensure that customer specifications as well as cost targets, design\-to\-manufacture and timing goals are met
* Knowledge about and compliance to the customer specific requirements
* Seek for and achieve customers’ buy in to utilize standardized development and validation testing, if and where useful and applicable
* Act as technical liason between product development teams and the customer and all other internal functions like design, manufacturing and industrialization
* Supervise product testing including interpretation of test results, introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met
* Support flawless launches by planning and controlling all technical issues related to assigned project and support the Program Manager in delivering highest quality solutions to our customers
* Provide product engineering expertise in a professional manner during customer visits and audits, with the team as well as in collaboration with other departments \(e\.g\. manufacturing\)
* Act as a Technical Project Lead Engineer with responsibility for a technical project team
* Facilitate knowledge transfer to other regions
* Hands on support on related projects in other regions
* Use PLM as our regular project space for serial programs
* Ensure project budget control and capacity planning process\.
**Qualifications**
* Degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
* Hands on engineering experience in automotive engineering for complex mechatronics systems
* Hands on engineering experience with Product Design/ Process Technology in the automotive sector
* Experience working with Japanese\-OEMs preferred
* Business English required
* German and/or Japanese language skills are a plus
* Willingness for frequent business travels
