Position Summary
The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to the development of new products; work in a cross‑functional environment with electrical controls, thermal & other development groups; manage a variety of tasks and activities in this dynamic environment; and solve complex problems related to high density and liquid cooling applications for data centers.

The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to the development of new products; work in a cross‑functional environment with electrical controls, thermal & other development groups; manage a variety of tasks and activities in this dynamic environment; and solve complex problems related to high density and liquid cooling applications for data centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to manufacturing operations by ensuring seamless product flow through the production line, coordinating with both on‑site factory personnel and the extended Center of Excellence (COE) team.
- Creates/modifies mechanical parts/assemblies/drawings in CAD systems such as Creo and/or Solid Edge.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials and unit configurator logic to select the correct BOM’s based on options selected by the customer.
- Works with Manufacturing, Service and Quality to understand their requirements to design a product that best meets all their needs.
- Assist with prototype builds by providing technical support and guidance when issues arise.
- Gather feedback from prototype builds and field trials and implement appropriate improvements to the product.
- Understand the products, suggest ideas and improvements.
- Assist with troubleshooting of escalated or re‑occurring field issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or product development with extensive experience.
- 8+ years of mechanical design & analysis experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English required (read, write, and speak).
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, products, and safety.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred CREO 10.0 and greater.
- Experience with sheet metal, piping and assemblies is a plus.
- Create and revise drawings and bills of materials.
- Change order management and data‑entry systems familiarity - Oracle, Agile, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and methodically.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate in cross‑functional global development teams.
