Senior Engineer, ServiceNow HRSD

This role is responsible for designing, engineering, and deploying scalable, enterprise-grade ServiceNow Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions that improve employee experience, streamline HR operations, and ensure reliable, automated service workflows across T-Mobile. The position focuses on advancing HRSD modulesincluding Case Management, Knowledge, Employee Center, HR Services, Lifecycle Events, and Integrationsusing modern engineering approaches, workflow automation, and best-practice HR process alignment.

The engineer collaborates closely with HR partners, platform engineering, product managers, security teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop intuitive, efficient solutions that reduce manual effort, improve service accuracy, strengthen compliance, and deliver consistent employee outcomes. This role applies independent judgment to architect enhancements to HRSD workflows, HR data integrations, Employee Center experiences, and lifecycle event orchestration that support business, operational, and compliance requirements. Success is measured by the ability to deliver high-quality HRSD capabilities that increase automation, reduce case handling time, and elevate the overall employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, build, and enhance ServiceNow HRSD workflows and capabilities

  • Develop and extend HR case workflows, HR services, lifecycle event templates, client scripts, UI policies, HRKMs, and Employee Center configurations. Ensure proper HR security segmentation, role-based access, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Engineer scalable HRSD solutions for employee experience and operational efficiency

  • Implement automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and orchestration to streamline HR processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, payroll inquiries, LOA, security access). Reduce manual touchpoints through decision logic, routing rules, SLA modeling, and intelligent triage.
  • Strengthen HR data integrity, governance, and compliance
  • Partner with HR, Legal, DPO, and security teams to enforce data-handling policies, ensure secure PII processing, and maintain clean and compliant HR case lifecycle data. Improve assignment structures, categorization models, and reporting accuracy.

Lead HRSD integration development

  • Design and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and HR systems such as Workday, payroll platforms, identity systems, learning management tools, and document repositories. Ensure proper data synchronization, version control, and secure API usage.

Collaborate with platform, HR, and cross-functional partners

  • Work with HR operations, HR technology, platform engineering, product managers, and business partners to understand requirements, translate them into scalable designs, and build solutions aligned with organizational strategy. Provide mentorship on HRSD best practices and workflow design.

Evaluate new HRSD capabilities, product releases, and architecture patterns

  • Continuously assess ServiceNow HRSD release featuressuch as Case Playbooks, Workforce Optimization, Mobile capabilities, NLU/Virtual Agent topicsand recommend adoption that improves automation, service delivery, and the employee experience.

Produce technical documentation and knowledge assets

  • Document HRSD workflows, service definitions, integration specifications, lifecycle event designs, access models, runbooks, and support procedures to ensure sustainability and reduce operational risk.

Support HRSD improvement initiatives, lifecycle events, and transformation programs

  • Assist with backlog cleanup, defect resolution, cross-domain integrations, reporting enhancements, operational governance, and platform maturity initiatives across HR, IT, and enterprise teams.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Required)
  • 47 years of technical engineering experience , including hands-on development with HRSD
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale HR operations and employee services preferred

  • Strong communication skills for working with HR leaders and technical teams (Required)

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (Required)
  • Technical writing and documentation expertise (Required)
  • Deep understanding of HRSD modules , HR case workflows, Employee Center, Knowledge, Lifecycle Events
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, REST integrations, Flow Designer , client-side scripting
  • Familiarity with HR processes , compliance requirements, and PII/secure data handling best practices
