Job Description
Senior Engineer, ServiceNow eBonding & Integration (Full Stack / Java / Kafka / Redis)
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance eBonding integrations between ServiceNow and external systems , enabling seamless, real-time data exchange across T-Mobiles operational ecosystem. The Senior Engineer focuses on building scalable, resilient integration services leveraging Java, REST APIs, Kafka event streaming, Redis caching , and modern full-stack engineering practices.
The position requires deep expertise in enterprise integration patterns, ServiceNow APIs, workflow automation, and the architecture needed to support high-volume bidirectional exchanges for Incident, Change, Request, Case, and other ITSM/CSM workflows. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teamsincluding ServiceNow Platform Engineering, SRE, application owners, vendors, and network partnersto ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and aligned with T-Mobiles operational and compliance requirements.
Success is measured by delivering robust eBonding solutions that reduce manual work, increase automation, support faster resolution times, and strengthen end-to-end service visibility across T-Mobile and its partner systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop eBonding integrations between ServiceNow and external tools
- Implement scalable API-based and event-driven integrations using REST, SOAP, Kafka, Java microservices, Redis caching , and ServiceNow IntegrationHub. Ensure low-latency, fault-tolerant data synchronization across systems.
Build full-stack solutions supporting integration orchestration
- Develop backend services, workflow layers, and UI components as needed to support partner system connectivity, data reconciliation, monitoring dashboards, and error-handling workflows.
Engineer high-reliability data exchange pipelines
- Implement integration patterns such as message queuing, event streaming, retry logic, idempotency, caching, and concurrency controls to support high-volume ServiceNow-to-partner communication.
Develop automated reconciliation, error-handling, and monitoring
- Create logging, alerting, and monitoring frameworks to detect integration failures, validate data consistency, and ensure end-to-end transparency for operational teams.
Collaborate with ServiceNow development teams and business stakeholders
- Work with platform engineers, product owners, security teams, application vendors, and operations groups to gather requirements, design integration flows, and ensure compliance with data governance and secure API standards.
Optimize integration performance and scalability
- Tune Kafka topics, Redis caching strategies, API throughput, Java service performance, and ServiceNow API consumption limits to ensure reliable, high-speed integrations.
Evaluate emerging technologies and platform capabilities
- Assess new ServiceNow release features, IntegrationHub Spokes, partner API capabilities, and architectural patterns that could streamline or enhance eBonding functionality.
Document integration architectures, specifications, and runbooks
- Produce clear technical documentation covering integration contracts, data models, API mappings, error-handling logic, performance baselines, and operational support procedures.
Support integration modernization and transformation initiatives
- Assist with migration from legacy integration methods, tool rationalization, data cleanup, and cross-domain automation projects that rely on real-time data exchange.
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Required)
- 47 years of technical engineering experience , including full stack development
- Hands-on experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems (Required)
- Experience in high-throughput, low-latency systems preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in Java , microservices architecture, and full-stack solutions (Required)
- Strong experience with Kafka , event streaming, message brokers, and asynchronous integration (Required)
- Proficiency with Redis for caching, performance optimization, and distributed data structures (Required)
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow APIs , IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and eBonding patterns
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, OAuth, JWT , and secure integration practices
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and data synchronization issues
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills (Required)
