About the Role:

Sr Engineer, Systems Reliability is responsible for improving and protecting the reliability, scalability, performance, security, and capacity of software and systems supporting enterprise IT services. This role applies software engineering and DevOps principles to ensure systems are resilient, observable, and continuously improving. The engineer ensures the reliability of SaaS platforms and their integrations by defining SLIs/SLOs, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting, managing dependency risks with third-party providers, and improving fault tolerance across API, data, and messaging integrations. The engineer combines expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-native platforms to improve delivery efficiency and operational support. The role provides technical leadership through mentoring and guidance of systems reliability engineers and partners closely with development and operations teams to uphold reliability and quality standards. Success is measured by improved system reliability, operational support effectiveness, and software delivery performance that directly impact IT service quality and customer experience.

What Youll Do:

• Design, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps automation tools to improve delivery speed and reliability
• Manage environments through automated provisioning, configuration, and pipeline orchestration
• Deliver software improvements that increase availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of IT services
• Create and maintain dashboards, monitoring, and health checks to improve observability and operational response
• Contribute to software delivery process improvements, including cloud enablement and containerized or microservices-based architectures
• Mentor and guide systems reliability engineers and vendor resources, setting technical standards and best practices
• Partner with development and operations teams to uphold reliability, performance, and quality thresholds
• Support continuous improvement of platform reliability and operational practices

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 57 years of experience in systems reliability, software engineering, DevOps, or related technical roles
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical outcomes
• Strong problem-solving skills with a systems-level perspective

Must Have Skills:

• CI/CD tooling and automation experience (for example Jenkins, CloudBees, or equivalent platforms)
• DevOps and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar
• Experience working in public or private cloud environments
• Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Java, Go, Shell, Perl, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and APM tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, or equivalents
• Strong understanding of system reliability concepts including scalability, performance, availability, and resilience

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience migrating systems to cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with reliability metrics, service monitoring, or operational dashboards
• Exposure to platform engineering or shared services environments
